Fit4Work - Return to Work Program

The Fit4Work program is an integrated approach to disability management.  Getting injured workers safely back to work is a critical part of managing workers’ compensation costs. Our goal is to assist in returning injured employees back to work as soon as they are medically able.

Fit4Work is unique within the industry in that it combines these efforts into a cohesive program and broadens the team to include agents, insureds, marketing, underwriting, and Liberty Mutual’s Center for Disability Research.

Here are some of the ways an employer may benefit from early return to work:

  • Demonstrates employer’s concern for injured workers;
  • Improves employee relations and morale;
  • Minimizes malingering and its associated costs;
  • Enhances overall productivity and company image;
  • Reduces hiring and training costs for substitute employees; and
  • Reduces workers' compensation experience rating and insurance premiums.

Fit4Work offers tools based on the frequency of lost time claims. For low frequency, we offer just-in-time materials and for higher frequency, we help insureds build effective return-to-work programs and provide training programs and materials before injuries occur.
